Set Ready’s production skills training program took us to the London borough of Waltham Forest where we were training young people as part of the Project Zero and Formed for Life initiatives.
The students were joined by Second AD Lynsey Muir (The Crown) and Production Supervisor Maja Wlodarczyk, who took a break from their production schedules to pop in and share their industry expertise.
We chatted to two of the graduates, Gary and Holly after they completed their Set Ready program. They emphasised the value and depth of the experience the course gave them, and how learning the industry lingo and social skills helped them to reach out to employers.
Holly summed up: “I’ve got knowledge for life.”
